The lantern doesn't put out as much light as a comparable oil lantern. Not quite up to the illumination level I expected. Not terrible, just more as a novelty than as a light source. I would have liked to have seen a comparable wattage or lumen rating.

I brought this product with me when I went back to the Philippines. And in times of browouts which occur so often during typhoons and hurricanes, this product becomes very useful. Just turn the knob and there is light. It is a very convenient and handy product. No more searching for candles and matches. It is so safe to use so I don't need to worry in case I fall asleep while waiting for electricity to be reconnected.

I love the rustic copper look on this lantern. It works great as a nightlight. The light output can be adjusted with the dimmer switch. I have mine hanging on the wall so that's it out of the way but where I can turn the dimmer switch up when needed. I bought it mainly for power outages, but it helped that it's cute as well. It came right on schedule!
