This is a beautiful, homey menorah.
My daughter -- one of the products of a prior mixed-religion marriage -- proudly proclaims herself a jew by religion, with both Judaism and Christianity in her family mix of traditions.
In my home, we decorate for and celebrate Christmas. But I not only care to have, I rather insist on having, a menorah for my Jewish loved ones to embrace when visiting my home during the holiday season.
This one is such a lovely and Haymishe piece that it complements my regular seasonal decor while providing a distinctly Hanukkah accent to the usual spirit of the celebration.
As with any other menorah I've ever owned or used, you may have to fudge with the base of your candles to get them to fit properly (standard menorah lights were a bit snug, so a little scraping off of the wax at the base is recommended); but unlike most, the wells are shallow enough to make cleaning out the remnants of last night's candles much easier...Read more
