I took a big chance and ordered this for a friend for Christmas, shipped straight to him so I didn't see it first. He's still commenting on how much he loves it (and he has excellent taste). I got it for his patio table but he says it's way too nice to leave outside. He also commented on the interesting light patterns it throws off, which apparently go nicely with a glass of wine. As soon as I move and have a patio, I'm getting one (or more) for myself.

Ensure that your gift recipients like shabby chic. It's nice to look at when its dark, but a little too shabby for my taste.
