If only I'd checked out this item after the other reviewer (CARIBBEAN GUY32) had had time to post his review I'd have saved myself a lot of money and aggravation.

I'm also located in the Caribbean, coincidentally. I had the item shipped to Miami and then to me via a costly courier service. When the item arrived the screw connecting the two parts of the upright was bent so that when joined they created an angle in the middle instead of a vertical rod, and the screw to connect the vertical rod to the stand was missing. I contacted the shipper, they responded promptly and said they would send me a replacement. They also said I would not have to return the defective item which was a relief as the cost of international shipping would have posed a problem.

The replacement item arrived - and of course I had to pay the courier's charges again to have it hauled out here to the Caribbean. I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised as the shipper had been so reasonable, but...Read more

I WENT TO LENGTHS TO GET THIS PRODUCT SHIPPED TO ME ALL THE WAY TO THE CARIBBEAN AND THROUGH DETERMINATION AND SHIPPING THEM TO NEW YORK FIRST I FINALLY GOT THEM HERE VIA UPS AND HAVING TO PAYING OUT TONS OF DUTIES AND TAXES FOR WHAT I FOUND TO BE MORE THAN THE OVERALL WORTH OF THE TOTAL ORIGINAL BILL.
I AM MAJORILY DISSAPPOINTED AT THE END RESULTS I GOT WHEN I ASSEMBLE THESE FLOOR LANTERN.
FIRSTLY LET ME SAY THEY ARE WAY SHORTER THAN I EXPECTED AND THE OVERALL PRODUCT I FIND TO BE VERY INFERIOR AND VERY VERY UNSTURDY.
THEY COME WITH A DIAGRAM SHOWING A THIS LARGE SCREW TO SECURE THE COMPLETE STRUCTURE OF THE LANTERN,WHICH WHEN I SAW THE ACTUAL SCREW ITS SO SMALL IT BEARLY FITS THE BASE.THE STRUCTURE THEN RATHER THAN BEINBG UPRIGHT IT TENDS TO JUST SLANT OVER EVEN WITHOUT THE LANTERN ON THE POST.
THEY ARE VERY WEAK,NOT STURDY.THE BASE IS A GOOD BASE,BUT THE UPRIGHT WHEN JOINED TOGETHER DOES NOT HOLD TOGETHER TIGHT ENOUGH TO BE FIRM AND UPRIGHT.
