I've admired Lampe Berger lamps for a while (some of them are really beautiful), but this is my first purchase of one. I used to think that they were designed just to "perfume" the air like a candle...I had no idea that they could actually purify the air and kill bacteria! Not only is this lamp lovely to look at it, but it really does "clean the air". I purchased Lampe Berger's "Paris Chic" fragrance oil and poured about a cupful into the lamp using the spout, lit the stone and let it burn for 2 minutes, then blew out the flame. The fragrance is pretty strong but it's gorgeous. After a couple of minutes, I could no longer smell the chicken I pan seared in the kitchen. The lamp itself doesn't heat up (which makes it easy to move it around while it's "on")although I can feel the heat off the stone over the top of the lamp. After I got the kitchen smelling good, I moved the lamp to the laundry area to see what it could do for the cat box/dirty laundry odor. Five minutes later--no...Read more
