I enjoy oil candles, but they are getting harder and harder to find (the trend may be ebbing). I was delighted to find these.

THE PLUSES:
- the price;
- the size, they hold a good amount oil without being too cumbersome;
- they are designed to fit atop vessels (like a vase) as well as sit on a table, very versatile;

THE MINUS
- the wick keeps slipping down as it cools (after being blown out). This means EVERY TIME you relight the candles you have to adjust the wick which is NOT easy. And the slightest change makes either the flame miniscule or so large that it starts smoking! It's frustating to fiddle with a wick for five minutes EVERY TIME.

These are best for very occasional use. Frequent use would be wear thin after a while.

These are great! I use oil candles often for devotional purposes, and to create atmosphere at Christmas time. These are superior to most oil candles, as they hold a lot of oil (they will burn continuously for 4-5 days on one filling), are very stable and unlikely to tip, and have excellent durable chimneys - not thin and prone to breakage like most oil candle chimneys. I have had no problems with wick slippage, mentioned by another reviewer.

Oil candles in general, when burning pure paraffin oil, burn very cleanly, with no soot or odor. The flame is constant, unlike a wax candle. The only downside is that filling is messy, and the oil is getting harder to find. Of course oil is always available online, but sometimes shipping is problematic. Highly recommend oil candles though, and this product is the best I have found.

I couldn't find these locally when I wanted to make some lamps for a donation but thanks to my trusty Amazon, I found them! They arrived safely and were exactly as described!
