Product Description
These very special candle lamps are hand-carved from rock salt crystals mined in Pakistan, and bored-out so that a single tea-light candle fits inside. The crystal is translucant, so the tea-light candle flame produces a beautiful glow. In addition to serving as a beautiful, decorative, and safe candle holder, the Himalayan Crystal Light, when warmed by the candle flame, emits negative ions. These ions cleanse the air by removing dust, pollen, dander, and cigarette smoke. The also offset the harmful radiation produced by computer monitors, TV's, and other electrical devices. Each lamp comes gift-boxed and includes one Palm Wax Tea Light Candle.

This crystal salt candle holder puts out a beautiful glow from the flame of a simple tea light candle. It is not only beautiful, it is very, very safe. The tea light candle sits deep within the 3" high holder, and the holder itself is relatively heavy (1.5 lbs), so almost impossible to accidentally knock over. Inutitively, I enjoy this candle lamp much more than other types of candles/candle holders. Perhaps it is the negative ions--perhaps not. But I have one in my office, and it is almost always lit while I am working. Try it, you'll like it!

This review is from: Himalayan Salt Crystal Tea Light Candleholder (Misc.)
There are a lot of claims about salt lamps and candle-holders and their health benefits. I have no idea if they're true or not. I can't say that I've felt any better or any worse since I've had my lamp or this candle-holder, but I like them. I bought the lamp for home and then bought this candle-holder for my office at work. I think it has an interesting look and is much safer than a lot of holders because it is very heavy and the candle sits way down in it. It's unlikely to be easily knocked over and the flame is away from everything.
That said, after I had it awhile, it developed a problem. It was either made in two halves or it was broken and repaired. Whichever, after you use it awhile, the glue used becomes VERY obvious and starts crumbling and falling around the table it's on. It just ruins the look of it. I'd drop it down to 2 stars if I could figure out how.
