I bought this candle warmer because the concept of how these "should" work seemed great. I actually ordered 5 to put around my house. I chose the "classic" model as in the photo it looked "quality", not too big or little and would fit most candle widths. When I received it:
1) Bulb blew out immediately. Barely touched the wax.
2) CHEAP PLASTIC exterior. Very FLIMSY and Ugly. Cheap plastic that I would be embarrased to have in my living room and especially give as a gift.
3) Cord not long enough. VERY short cord (what were the manufacturer's thinking)?? You need an extension cord unless your outlet is "right there"!
4) Since I bought a few I was able to get one to actually turn on w/out the bulb dieing. I had it lit for approximately 1.5 hours. The next morning it would not heat up enough to melt the wax on top of candle after leaving it on for over an hour! Bulb is junk and not worth replacing. I was disappointed at how flimsy the plastic is on the part of the candle warmer that holds the ligthbulb.
I expected a little better quality for the price.

I got this to avoid having to constantly watch a burning candle and it works very well. I have no idea what the other reviewer was talking about. I read reviews for other styles of candle warmer lamps made by the same company and they were almost all positive.

Bulb: I bought a back up bulb at the pet store (it's the same kind of bulb people use to provide heat for lizards and snakes which is why it's hard to find at Lowe's etc.) because that's the main problem people complained about. However, I have not had any issues with it yet.

Performance: I get a nice wax pool in less than 1 hour every time I use this and I can smell the candle within 5-10 min. I was having problems with the throw on Yankee Candles when I just lit them but this warmer definitely helps. I can finally smell my Cranberry Chutney!

Craftsmanship: The plastic is not flimsy at all (I dropped it and it was fine) and it looks great next to my TV. I got it in black.
