I love this and ordered two, however, I only gave it four stars because it gets EXTREMELY hot to the touch and I burnt my finger picking it up. I highly recommend only using it for decoration and using the flickering battery operated tealights in it as they fit much better than votives . I was afraid to set it on anything because I didnt want my house catching on fire, lol. But all in all, a very cute item as long as you don't burn real candles in it.

This review is from: Burnished Colonial Candle Lamp Holder Lantern Light [Kitchen] (Kitchen)
This is a very good copy (for the price) of an antique lantern. Looks great hanging from a ceiling or on a flat surface. I put a little tea candle inside and it lights up the room as a night light perfectly through the liberal glass enclosure. Arrived on time in perfect condition.
Excellent size, quality, and aesthetics,

I am thrilled with this little lamp and am ordering more for my restaurant. I was looking for more than just a candle holder, but something not too elaborate, and this is perfect. It's size makes a perfect centerpiece for the table -- neither too large nor too small. Quality is lovely -- the burnished copper is sturdy, well-put together (often items like this are crooked), the little star cutouts in the top project star-shaped candlelight onto my low ceiling. Perfect for a romantic, yesteryear setting.
