superfast shipping and looks great. When I read the reviews, I decided to spray paint it with Rustoleum's Oil Rubbed Bronze and now it matches my apartment much better and looks great. Everybody loves it. Didn't even have to use primer. I'll post a foto once I find out how.

i purchased 2 of these for my new home. when i received them i was less than impressed with the paint and the color combo. i took the glass out (which really wasn't that hard) and spray painted them both with an oil rubbed bronze color and put the glass back in. now they look so awesome and everyone who comes over comments on how cool they are. for the price it was a good deal, just don't expect it to look like a million bucks at first, they need some love and then they look great.
in short, if you want a lantern of high quality look and feel, and you aren't prepared to help it get there, then this is not the one for you. however if you are willing to put in a little effort they look awesome.
Fully satisfied,

I got this as a fun indoor candle light, to hang in my bedroom. It's a brown wash over white painted metal to look pseudo old. It's better built than I expected although I don't know how long it would last hanging outdoors in all weather. A standard votive glass will fit into it nicely, but one even slightly oversized won't fit into the tear-drop shaped door. A tealight works, but is somewhat short for this hanging candle holder. The inside support is plenty big enough to hold the votive glass, even a heavy one, or tea light. Shop around as prices vary greatly but I found this for under $20, and would recommend it to a friend. BTW: I hung this in a corner in front of some small decorative mirrors and get three times the effect.
