Aladdin Lighting R103 Lox-On Chimney

I have not found the Aladdin R103 Lox-On chimney overly delicate but I do suggest that you check the securing ring (around the burner assembly) before you attempt to set-and-lock the chimney down.

This Lox-On chimney is not for the more recently sold Aladdin Lamps as they have gone to a 'heel-less' design in which the chimney 'seats' inside of metal 'fingers' around the burner assembly.

With the Lox-On chimney there are some slight 'bumps' in the glass at the base of the chimney which are captured under ridges around the periphery of the securing ring (around the burner assembly) when the chimney is rotated about 30 degrees. I once had an instance where a long unused burner caused a problem when securing the Lox-On chimney due to the securing ridges (around the burner) not quite providing the clearance that was needed. I ordered 2 of these and 1 was broken upon delivery. I sent an email and was told that I did not need to return the item and that they would send me another which they did promptly. Such great service is rare today and very much appreciated. The quality of the product was excellent.
